With Muskegon Community College moving into Phase 4 of its re-opening plan on Oct. 12, we are pleased to announce that the Lakeshore Fab Lab is now open for current and prospective adult members only (age 16 and up) who comply with the following requirements:

  1. For your safety, members will be required to reserve machine time via our website prior to coming into the Lab. If the machine is already booked for that time, you may NOT come in to wait for it to open. Please do not arrive any earlier that 5 minutes prior to your reserved time. If you need to discuss a project or your membership options with our staff, please call in advance to make an appointment.
  2. Full face masks are required for all who are in the Fab Lab, including our staff. We ask that you respect the safety of other members and comply. The Fab Lab does not provide masks and we will not allow you to enter the space without one. We do have hand sanitizer stations inside the Lab for your use.
  3. Please do not bring children to the Fab Lab unless you are attending a class with your child. Check our schedule for new classes. Due to social distancing guidelines we cannot allow more than one child per adult. Children must also wear a face mask and stay with you during the entire class. They are not allowed to bring friends with them to the Lab at this time.

We look forward to the time when we can openly gather in the “maker spirit” and share knowledge and ideas. Until then, we strive to offer the services we can in the safest environment possible.
