Gift a Membership

Someone can only receive so many water bottles and coffee mugs for a gift! Sick of giving the same old same old? Maybe you are sick of getting the same old same old? Well then you are in luck!

You can buy a gift membership to the Lakeshore Fab Lab for that special someone in your life!

The fab lab is located in downtown Muskegon, MI and is essentially a community makerspace. Think a gym (such as the YMCA or Planet Fitness) combined with shop class from school. You pay a membership fee, time and materials for equipment and you can make incredible things! Check out our equipment section of our website to learn about the various equipment available, as well as see example images of things that can be made.

The fab lab is SO much more than just equipment in a room. This place is all about collaboration. New skills are learned, lifelong friends are made, and good times are had! 

 

 

The membership benefits include:

  • One-hour safety training (required of all members)
  • Discounts on projects, classes, and events held at the Lakeshore Fab Lab
  • Access to knowledgeable volunteers, other members, and Muskegon Community College faculty
  • Access to equipment not in your garage and the training to use it
  • An environment of creativity, building, comradery, and entrepreneurship
